Depart Alice Springs at 7:30am and visit Hermannsburg Historical Precinct. Travel along 4WD tracks to Palm Valley and wander through the relict palms found nowhere else in the world. Continue on to the Watarrka National Park, featuring the spectacular Kings Canyon. With more than 600 species of plant, Kings Canyon is botanically the richest region in all of arid Australia. DAY 2: KINGS CANYON & ULURU-KATA TJUTA NATIONAL PARK
At sunrise, take the Rim Walk through the domes and oasis of vegetation to explore the many unusual features of the Watarrka National Park. Depart mid-morning for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and an afternoon tour to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine as you watch the sunset and changing colors of Kata Tjuta before returning to your hotel. Note: Option to join Sounds of Silence Dinner tonight, additional cost. DAY 3: ULURU
This morning, visit areas of special interest around Uluru and view rock art and waterholes. After the sunrise transforms Uluru into a shimmering red, relax at the base of this monolith with your picnic breakfast and absorb the solitude. Enjoy short guided walks and discover the fascinating relationship the Anangu people have with Uluru. Finally, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center.
